Gujrati v/s English
Language is an important medium of communication. There are many languages which can help us to develope our thoughts and expressions. But now in this throat cutting competitive age it is difficult to survive with only one language.
The age demands people who have command over foreign languages and as a result now we are facing a problem with our mother tongue and the second language.
Today when a child born, we pursue him or her in English medium schools right from K.G. standard.there is no serious reason behind it .the reason is only that the child will be able to walk with time as he grows up.
Gujrati is our mother tongue,it is fact.but at the same time the age demands us to have command over English also.so we can not put it aside.In short both the languages should be learnt mutually. but basical thing is to be done is to give priority to our mother tongue...

Hello Mayur,
ReplyDeleteI have gone through your writing.You have given the positive sides of our mother tongue.
But I think that it is the demand of time that one should be well equipped with the international language.To learn in English and to communicate in English is the need that one must have fulfill.In short we are unable to cop with the age if we have not learn any foreign language though our Gujarati is very much powerful.

You have given your view that today people are sending their children to english medium schools.But i would like to say you that it's the essential demand to aquire the knowledge to enlarge your visions and to get good and prospective future.But you should not forgetr the importance of our mothertongue at any cost.............
